how much is this computer worth?

Hi,
I called on the following ad and am wondering if anyone can give me an approximate value?

For Sale: Rarely used Gateway M500 Laptop. DVD/CDRW. Windows XP, Intel P4, 1.18 GHz, 512 MB
bought in 2003, used a little to surf the Net.
3 USB ports. internal wireless card that works sometimes, but comes with an external one that comes with it that works fine.
asking $200 for it.
I am considering selling it on e-bay and wondering if I can make money if I buy it at that price?

Sounds like a good buy to me. You could robably buy it at $200 and re-sell it at $300.

Just my thoughts.

yeah, 200 sounds good if the machine is fully functional. I'd run bit pro though to check everything before purchasing it though. gateway laptops have had serious reliability issues.

I wouldn't buy that laptop for a hundred dollars. You can go and get a brand new one here with the same spects if not better for about 300.

I didn't buy it, I didn't really want it anyhow, just thought I mght be able to e-bay it.
